About the 1051 New Sight Worship....
... Our worship is inspired by the story of Jesus and Blind
Bartimaeus in the Gospel of Mark with special attention to Chapter
10, verse 51 ...
As Jesus and his disciples, together wth a large crowd, were leaving
the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus, was sating by the roadside begging,
When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout,
"Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Many rebuked him and
told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, Son of David,
have mercy on me!"
Jesus stopped and said, "Call
him." So they called to the blind man, "Cheer
up On your feet! Hes calling you." Throwing his
cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. Jesus said
to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind
man said to Him, "Lord, I want to see!"
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you."
Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road!
We are spiritually blind beggars in need of mercy--in need of a
vision for our lives. Jesus calls out and asks, What do you
want me to do for you?
Lord, I want to see!
May we all see Jesus clearly through our time in the Word, Communion,
worship, praise and prayer--not just at 10:51am on Sundays, but
"along the road of our everyday lives.
