Here is something new for your kids at Town and Country Lutheran
Church!
Weve found something different for Sunday school that we
are really excited about! Its
called Kingdom Quest and it is Sunday school re-engineered in
a whole new way. Beginning Sunday Sept 19th we will be starting
this new and exciting Sunday school program that many churches
have had tremendous success with, and have experienced considerable
growth in their childrens ministry. One thing is almost
for certain: our kids will not complain about being bored. Kids
will also bring home sheets called "God Talk at Home."
Use these for your family devotions or even one-on-one time with
your child to talk about last weeks lesson.
Heres what you can expect:
Kingdom Quest for kids Preschool through Kindergarten will group
together in room C-1 (1st Grade classroom). Grades 1-5 will group
together in modular 3 (extended care facility). These ages will
be on the same lesson but will meet in small groups. The small
groups also come together for one large group presentation that
creatively presents the Bible event.
- Jesus-centered. The content will be very Jesus-centered.
The children will be challenged to take their faith into everyday
applications.
- Learning with Fun. The lessons use active learning methods
utilizing multiple senses. It will probably feel like VBS at
times.
- Building on Relationships. The teachers arent responsible
for all the teaching. A large group leader presents the Bible
event. The teachers, now called shepherds, focus on connecting
with the kids relationally and helping them apply Gods
truth to their lives. Its more than just giving them information.
This is an exciting time to be involved in childrens ministry.
Perhaps the Lord is leading you to use your gifts in making an
impact among children. If so, contact Cathy Klapp of Involvement
Ministries.
Thank you for your support!
