The goal of Our Journey of Faith is to raise $750,000 to 1 million dollars to begin the process of a major renovation of our existing parish hall and improvement of our school classrooms. Preliminary plans include:

Creating space for senior ministry
Improving existing youth room
Upgrading sport facilities
Refurbishing bathrooms
Accommodating Arts & Science curricula

PRAYER WILL GUIDE OUR STEPS

While you will be hearing much more about Our Journey of Faith, we ask that all members of Town and Country Lutheran begin to seek God in earnest prayer now, asking Him to:

Increase the ministry of our church.
Create an environment that helps each of use seek His will for our life.
Bless the leadership of our church as they guide us through this program.
Keep our hearts focused on Him as we are bound to encounter difficulties in our journey.
Protect us from the evil one.

Depending on the funds raised, we may refurbish our existing classrooms and/or build new ones.
Our Building Committee is moving ahead in determining the best way to meet our desired goal. Final decision regarding building design cannot be made until we know the total funds raised through our capital campaign. We will need everyone's support to make this goal possible.

OUR CHALLENGE IS TO JOURNEY IN FAITH

The program title, Our Journey of Faith, reflects the idea that everyone at Town and Country is needed in order for us to succeed and see our dream become a reality. An opportunity will be given for every household in our church to make a sacrificial commitment, over and above our regular tithes and offerings, over a special three-year period. No one will be told what he or she should give. No one will be pressured or coerced. We will all be asked to seek the will of God in our lives as it relates to this program.

NOT EQUAL GIFTS BUT EQUAL SACRIFICE

Our Journey of Faith is a whole-church effort under the banner of "Not Equal Gifts, But Equal Sacrifice." The simple and profound theme that underscores "Our Journey of Faith" comes from the Bibles' teaching about proportionate giving and the blessings of sacrifice. No gifts impress God in terms of dollar amounts but should be extensions of the love and obedience with which they are given. God, in other words, looks on the heart. As the campaign progresses, we will all learn what sacrificial giving means.
